Roundtable this Thursday, October 10th at Washington High School!

Reminder - We have an exciting Roundtable coming this Thursday at 7pm at Washington HS Cafeteria!   Be There!

*******************************************************************************************

Scouts BSA Leaders:  Leaders Guiding Scouts on the Trail from Life to Eagle

Rebecca Rafael will be talking about what adult leaders and parents need to do in order to guide scouts as they advance from Life to Eagle.  The trail from Life to Eagle can be a difficult one.  Scouts need a plan and often need guidance to successfully navigate the terrain.

Rebecca will discuss the key milestones, choices and pitfalls scouts face on the trail.

Cub Scout Leaders:  Christine Watnik will lead a session on getting AOLS ready to bridge under the new reduced guidelines.

The new program has changed the requirements for earning AOL.  At the same time, the recommendation is for AOLs to select and bridge to a troop earlier than had been typical in the past.   Successfully completing the program requires that AOL den leaders be ready with a plan.

Who should attend?
  • AOL Den Leaders
  • Cubmasters
  • Assistant Cubmasters
  • Cub Committee Chairs
  • Parents with AOL Scouts
  • Webelo Den Leaders as you will be facing this next year
  • Scouts BSA Troop Membership chairs (so that you know what to expect when you bridge in AOLs
NOTE - This is not a session for youth.  Rebecca will talk about how youth can get coaching, but NONE will be offered in this session. Send any questions or comments to Lee Amon

Also – Don’t forget Troop Showcase this Saturday Oct 12 at Lady of Guadalupe School.   Set up starts at 9:00AM.  AOLs and Webelos may also want to attend to check out troops starting at 10AM.  Everyone is welcome.  Food, Games and Information.

This is 100% separate from the October District Roundtable. The Troop Showcase is one of the very best places for Arrow of Lights to start their quest for their ideal Troop. Typically, over 80% of the Troops are present at the Troop Showcase with a similar percentage of the Arrow of Light Dens participating in the event. Please pass the word to Troops and to Arrow of Lights, their Den Leaders, and their parents.

Updated information for each troop will be posted on the website.  This is a resource for Arrow of Light Cub Scouts and their parents in their quest to bridge into Scouts BSA.

If you have questions, please contact Henry Allen, Assistant Chair for Membership - Webelos to Scout Retention,
