6/8 – Volunteer Opportunity with knot-tying with the Rotary District!

We have an exciting volunteer opportunity for Scouts with knot-tying skills! We are invited to participate in the end-of-year Rotary District 5170 Fellowship-Leadership Meeting, which will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at DRYCO Construction, located at 42745 Boscell Road, Fremont.
The Rotary clubs, which often serve as Charter Organizations for Scout units, are looking to add some fun to their informative meeting. We thought it would be engaging to include a brief knot-tying demonstration by our Scouts. This will not only be a fun addition to their agenda but also a great way to raise awareness about Scouting.
They are planning for a 15-minute session between 10:00 and 11:00 am. It will begin with a 2-3 minute introduction about Scouting, followed by a knot-tying class where Scouts will demonstrate essential knots like the bowline and square knot, among others. Scouts will also assist any Rotarians interested in learning the knots.
This is a wonderful chance to give back to the organizations that support Scouting and to showcase the skills and values of our Scouts. If you are interested or need more information, please contact Andrew Ratermann at  or his cell at 408-307-1521.
Let’s help make this meeting memorable and show our appreciation for the Rotarian support!
