Join us for Roundtable TONIGHT- Thursday, April 11 - 7:00 PM Washington High School Cafeteria - Key topics covered will include: Beyond Summer Camp!

Ever think about doing a big trip with your troop, but don't know where or how to start planning? Jim Dalton of Troop 132 will share the experience of taking the troop to Yellowstone and to Bruce/Zion National Parks. Jim will talk about the key steps in planning and executing these types of ambitious trips. New Cub Scout Program. Big changes are coming to the Cub Scout program SOON! Are you ready? We strongly recommend that every pack send at least one leader to this meeting to hear the latest on these exciting changes and get ready.
May Roundtable: (May 9) Will focus on the changes to the registration process happening NOW. We recommend every unit plan on sending at least one representative.

Roundtable is a great place to meet fellow scouters, share ideas and concerns, and enjoy scouting fellowship. Look forward to seeing you there.

We are 2/3 full for our upcoming Mission Peak Cub Scout Day Camp!

Please join us for our incredible Mission Peak Cub Scout Day Camp from June 10-14, 2024 at Ardenwood Farm. Registration fills up VERY quickly for the limited amount of spots so sign your scout up as soon as possible.

This Cub Camp is open to all Boys and Girls Cub Scouts entering the 1st – 5th Grade. Cub Scouts will participate in various activities such as:
  • Valuable Cub/Scout Skills & Crafts
  • Science/Cultural Experiences
  • Meeting Real Farm Animals
  • Make New Friends
  • Meet Cub Scouts from other Packs
***Please note that Tigers, which are scouts entering 1st grade in September 2024, must be accompanied full time by their parent/guardian (as a volunteer) if they wish to attend. If you are not currently a scout volunteer, you can attend camp by filling out a membership application.

Early registration closes on May 21st, final registration closes on June 5th or when the roster fills up.

The Giants are thrilled to host the Boy Scouts of America at Oracle Park as the Giants face off against the Arizona Diamondbacks. On Scouts Day, all uniformed Boy Scouts and their leaders are invited to march in a pregame field parade. Partial proceeds from each special event ticket will benefit the Boy Scouts of America.

Tree Planting Volunteer Opportunities are available for your scouts!
Thank you to all the hard-working volunteers who helped plant 26 new trees around the low-canopy Glenmoor and North Fremont neighborhoods and 16 new trees at Lake Elizabeth over these first few months of 2024!

We have many exciting events coming up in March and April, and are also looking for volunteers who have attended at least one tree planting to learn to help others as Tree Leaders. Please see details below.
  • Sunday, April 14th, 1-4pm: Cabrillo Trail Park Community Tree Kick-off Celebration, Cabrillo Trail Park, 4128 Jacinto Drive, Fremont. Come meet your City Council Rep Desrie Campbell, State Assemblymember Alex Lee, and Fremont Urban Forestry Manager, Chris Curry. They will share why Cabrillo Neighborhood is selected for Community Tree Greening and a free tree program. Free face painting booth and Bubble fun for the whole family. Native bird connections with live birds of prey. Celebration is open to all!
  • Saturday, April 20th, 11am-noon. Spring in the Newark Plaza: Tree Identification and Walk. Newark Public Library, 37055 Newark Blvd, Newark. No registration required.
  • Saturday, April 20th, 11am-3pm. Fremont Earth Day Fair, Downtown Event Center and Plaza, 3500 Capitol Ave, Fremont. No registration required.

Climbing Training at Wente

April 11 - 14, 2024

To: Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Committee Chairs

This event will train and certify BSA Climbing Instructors - L1, L2, & recertification of either. BSA requires two certified BSA climbing instructors for units to hold their own climbing events, at least one who is a Level 2 instructor. Grade A using artificial walls, Grade B for climbing on natural rock with anchored bolts and/or trees or boulders for top roping.
