Come learn how to use Scoutbook

  3. Accessing your Scout's information
  4. How to enter Cub elective in bulk
  5. How to successfully move Webelos out of a Pack and into a Troop

Annual electronic housekeeping on my.scouting by Unit Key3

Annual electronic housekeeping on my.scouting by Unit Key3

Action Required by Unit Key3

Now that all of our units have successfully completed their recharter and your paperwork has been posted in the online national database; it is time for you each to do some annual housekeeping.
  1. Check your roster to be sure it reflects all the members you think it should; i.e. did anyone get dropped at recharter time that you did not want dropped.  Note, we have had a few units see missing members, so please check carefully.
  2. Check your be-a-scout pin for accuracy so prospective new members can find you when they search for scouting near them.  With the changes adult leaders and meeting locations, it probably needs updating.
  3. Reassign any functional roles you want.  Each year the assignments get flushed when your recharter is processed.  These functional roles are things like Key3 Delegate, COR Delegate (new this year), Training Chair, YPT Champion, Advancement Chair, and Registration Inquiry.  Generous use of functional roles can help offload the work from the Committee Chair, COR, & Unit Leader.

Your online roster can be found by:

  1. Logging into my.scouting.org,
  2. Select Menu,
  3. Select the folder for your unit
  4. Select Roster

You can check your be-a-scout pin by:

  1. Logging into my.scouting.org,
  2. Select Menu,
  3. Select the folder for your unit
  4. Select Roster
  5. Select Unit Pin

Functional Roles can be assigned by:

  1. Logging into my.scouting.org,
  2. Select Menu,
  3. Select the folder for your unit
  4. Select Roster
  5. Select Position Manager
  6. Select the Functional Roles tab at the top of the page

Certificate Of Insurance

Mission Peak Logo
Many people have been getting requests from their charter organizations and various other groups for proof of Insurance. In years past the council automatically sent the necessary document to charter organizations. Unfortunately, this is not possible this year. Thankfully, the new process is fairly straight forward. To get the certificate fill out the form here and send it to the following email address: Nicole.Ruvalcaba@scouting.org. The maximum turn around time for this process is 12 days but will likely be resolved significantly sooner. The Council thanks you for your cooperation with this new process.
