Summary

• DRMs must check the Recharter Error Report frequently and work with Units to correct errors

Issues

• Some Units are stuck in Waiting for COR Approval or Locked (ACH Validations). We need these Units to either complete these steps or provide documentation they have completed both steps so where appropriate we can open tickets with National. Sometimes touching the recharter to produce this documentation pushes the recharter through to completion the next day. Obviously a bug, but one we can fix on our own. A list of units stuck in one of these states can be found on a separate tab of the Recharter Status Report as of 01/04.
• Change of Executive Officer can NOT be done by the Units inside the Recharter System. Instead, they need to fill out a portion of the New-Unit Application Form and send it to the Registrar for processing outside the recharter process, Michelle Behrendt (michelle.behrendt@scouting.org)

Recharter

• 20% of our Units have not started. DRMs need to call these Units or if you know they will dissolve, send an email to both Steve Conn (sfconn@gmail.com) & Brian McGuire (brian.mcguire@scouting.org)
• 20% of our Unis have begun but not submitted. DRMs need to call these Units and press them for a completion date.
• 5% of our units are stuck in Wating for COR or Locked (validate ACH). DRMs need to call these Units and get them to complete these last steps or send proof of completion to Steve Conn (sfconn@gmail.com). Sometimes touching the recharter to produce this documentation pushes the recharter through to completion the next day. Obviously a bug, but one we can fix on our own.
• 35% of our Units are On Hold. DRMs must check the Recharter Error Report for details and work with Units to correct them.
• 20% of our Units are Posted. These Units can now begin some important annual maintenance:
  • Login to my.scouting.org/Roster/Export Roste and check to be sure everything is accurate
  • Login to my.scouting.org/Roster/Postion Manager and check/reassign Functional Roles
  • Login to my. scouting.org/Roster/Unit Pin and check/update any information that has changed, expecially the contact person for prospective members, but also meeting location/days/times and webiste

YPT

• If an adult has retaken YPT but is NOT showing up as completed on the reports it is most likely due to duplicate BSA Login IDs. We need to manually give them credit for YPT in the my.scouting.org/Training Manager and get their ID's merged. Contact Steve Conn (sfconn@gmail.com) if you need help with this.

AB506

• If an adult has completed LIve Scan but is not showing up as completed in the reports it is most likely due to a name mismatch. Please provide the following information directly to Bob Carns, ggac.ab506.chair@gmail.com
  • The exact spelling of their name as shown on a government ID
  • The spelling of their name as registered with BSA
  • Their BSA ID #
  • The location Live Scan completed
  • Approximate date Live Scan was completed
• If an adult has completed the AB506 training but is not showing up as completed in the reports, please send a copy of their training certificate directly to Bob Carns, ggac.ab506.chair@gmail.com
