Summary
- Time is NOW to complete recharter.
- The pace has picked up, but still a long way to go by the deadline of Thur 12/14

Issues
- Change of Executive Officer can NOT be done by the Units inside the Recharter System. Instead, they need to fill out a portion of the New-Unit Application Form and send it to the Registrar for processing outside the recharter process, Michelle Behrendt (michelle.behrendt@scouting.org)
Recharter
- Many Units have turned in their recharter packets, but many with errors.
- Remember the system checks the rosters with respect to the national YPT rule, not the stricter GGAC one. Also, the system has no knowledge of the local CA AB506 law. Therefore, the registrar manually checks recharter packets against the two rules mentioned above
- If a packet is NOT in compliance with the rules above, the registrar lists what is wrong in this shared issue spreadsheet.
- The registrar rechecked all "on hold" packets on 12/13 and removed listed errors that had been corrected on or before 12/12.
- You as the DRM's must check this spreadsheet lisdetd above and work with your Units to get resolved. We are still working out the process to inform you when one of your units drops into this category.
