Oct 8-9: Cancellation of Scout Day @ Lake Elizabeth
The annual Scout Day celebration at Lake Elizabeth that was planned for October 9-11 has been cancelled. After an update from the Park office was received that we cannot hold canoe races on the lake due to dangerously low water levels, our planning committee has decided to cancel this event and focus our efforts on the Fall Camporee at RLM on October 29-31st.

SAVE THE DATE Oct 29-31: Fall Camporee @ RLM!
Our District Camping Committee has gone all in on planning for our Fall Camporee at Rancho Los Mochos, October 29th-31st. We realized after much deliberation that there are several Scouts and Units who still want get back out by putting the 'Outing' back in Scouting.
Our planning committee just met this last week and has committed to opening up reservations on September 1st via our ggacbsa.org Mission Peak calendar as well as our district webpage www.missionpeakscouts.com
The theme for this year's Camporee will be a Halloween-based theme since the event will be held over Halloween weekend. Any Scouts or Scouters who would like to have input on ideas for this highly anticipated event can email Lee Amon at leeamon@pacbell.net.
