I had the opportunity to meet our new Scout Executive John Fenoglio on a Zoom call earlier this morning and if first impressions are any indicator of future performance, we’re in good hands.
John has been serving as Scout Executive for Mt. Diablo Silverado Council since 2011 and started his Scouting career all the way back in 1987. He was recently chosen by our new Council Board to serve as the Scout Executive of our newly formed Golden Gate Area Council, effective June 1st. Mr. Fenoglio is an Eagle Scout, Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow and Rotarian and loves to spend his spare time golfing, traveling and fishing.
I also had the opportunity to meet the rest of our new Team and was quite impressed with their recent accomplishments over the last year. Several members of our new Golden Gate Area Council were recently recognized as being one of the Top 50 Membership Growth Districts in the Western Region, along with our Mission Peak District.
The other members of our new team also provided me with a great sense that they understand their roles and deliver great customer service to their volunteers and I will be excited to see what we can deliver in the coming months.
I have no doubt that our newly formed Golden Gate Area Council Team will work well with each other, share their great ideas and generally help us all deliver a High Class, Top Notch Scouting program!
