Tonight's Roundtable - New Recruiting Methods for Troops and Summertime Pack Activities

Tonight's Roundtable - New Recruiting Methods for Troops and Summertime Pack Activities
April Roundtable is shaping up to cover some exciting topics. Washington High School Cafeteria, 7:00 PM

We will be having breakout sessions for Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA. We hope you will join us and bring your questions, as well as your experience and your unit’s plans. The best part of roundtable is always sharing with and learning from your fellow scouters. Contact Lee Amon at for any additional information/assistance.

Cub Scouts:

What are your pack's plans for the summer? Many packs have found that having pack activities over the summer improves retention, builds bonds between the pack and the family, and are a lot of fun. But what activities are best? We'll share some ideas and we encourage all of you to come with your ideas and be ready to share and discuss.

Scouts BSA:

For many years troops have relied on recruiting webelos to keep the troop growing. But for many troops this is not adequate, and troops are finding that they need to recruit older youth, who have never been a part of scouting or cubs.

Research from National has shown that there are techniques that can be more effective than the traditional recruiting methods used by many troops. We will discuss these new recruiting methods and talk about how to bring new families into scouting with joining conferences.

We think that this will be an exciting roundtable, and look forward to seeing you all there. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
