Trunk or Treat "Spooky" event with Pack 110!
Is it ever too early to celebrate Halloween? Not for Pack 110!
We joined forces with Forestpark Elementary School for an unforgettable “Trunk or Treat” event. Our pack’s adult leaders and cubs transformed an SUV into a spooky yet cozy camping setup—complete with a skeleton camper keeping watch by the ‘fire’!
The creativity was on full display, and the turnout was amazing! Kids and grown-ups alike stopped by to admire the campsite, snap some memorable photos, and, of course, grab handfuls of candy.
The smiles and laughter were proof of a job well done by everyone who pitched in.A huge thank you to all who came out to make this event a great success! We love building these connections and spreading some Halloween cheer in our community.

A huge shout-out to Troop 132 & 203 for their Camp Wente volunteer work!
This past weekend, Fremont Troop 132 and Oakland Troop 203 went up to Camp Wente and helped get our precious summer camp looked up and ready for winter. They spent the weekend carefully folding up all the tarp tents, arranging the proper equipment and storing everything for the upcoming colder months.
Thanks to Troops and volunteers like this, we can continue to offer great activities and campsites for our future scouters. When you get a chance, check out their pictures from this hard-working group.
A huge thank you to all those who participated!

Scouting for Food is coming up! Get your units ready!
Thanks for all you have done to prepare for the upcoming Scouting for Food Drive. Last year, our Mission Peak District blew the other Districts away with food donations and let's do it again this year!
The need has never been greater – one in four residences of our communities suffers from food insecurity. In the true spirit of Scouting, Scouting for Food affords our scouts, scouters and others the opportunity to provide meaningful service.
The traditional pick up of food donations from homes will be on Saturday, November 16, with door hangers placed in neighborhoods throughout the Golden Gate Area Council the weekend November 2 or 9.
Besides the always important food collections, remember we also need to publicize and encourage monetary donations for those who may find that more convenient or who may want to give more. We are calling on scouts, scouters, scouting families, friends and community partners to help spread the word. Please fire up the troops and packs and as many scouters and community partners as possible to enlist their assistance in sharing this information.
Many thanks. Together we really can make a difference.

Talk to your scouts about the importance of voting!
Dear Scout Parents and Leaders:
Please take a moment to sit down with your scouts and talk to them about the current election and voting events happening in the United States, California and their own town. Show them your ballots and talk about the candidates to them. Show them how to find unbiased information such as League of Women Voters and just simple Googling. After discussing the different candidates, vote in front of them and tell them why you have chosen to vote for your candidate in each category. Go over the proposed Measure and Propositions and discuss both sides of each one.
As our young generation is coming to the age of voting, they need to understand the importance of their votes, especially in the city elections. In the past, candidates have won by as little as 6 votes in the Tri-City area! Also, please make them aware of good solid campaigns based on morals and honesty versus political candidates who slander and talk negatively of others. This does not represent our scout way.

POSTPONED: Fall Camporee to November 8-10 - Please RSVP ASAP!
The Mission Peak Fall Camporee Adult staff learned late Thursday evening, September 19, 2024, that Mines Road will be closed for construction beyond Mile Marker 6.5, from September 30 to October 19, 2024. Unfortunately, this means there will be no access from Livermore to Rancho Los Mochos for camporee weekend, October 4-6.
The only viable alternative we have found available is at Rancho Los Mochos over Veterans’ Day weekend November 8-10, 2024. At this time, we remain committed to the success of our Fall Camporee.
We know this is the scheduled weekend for units to dispense door hangers for Scouting For Food. However, we have been assured the door hangers will be available for pick up at the October Round Table on October 10th, and they can be distributed any time before the scheduled pickup of food donations on November 16th, should units wish to attend Fall Camporee on its new date.
We are consulting with the professional Council staff about the best way to reschedule this event and re-process, adjust, or refund registrations.
If your Troop is interested in participating in Camporee on the new dates let us know by Saturday, September 28, 2024. Either complete the form below or email Brian Putt ( ) If sufficient troops are not available to attend, we will probably cancel the Camporee.
If you have any questions, please contact Tom Sims ( ) or Brian Putt ( ).
