8/3 to 8/4 - Fremont Festival of Arts needs Volunteers!
Fernanda Ruiz is reaching out to share an exciting opportunity for your troop at the upcoming Fremont Festival of the Arts. For the second year in a row, we've secured a booth in Kids City, but we need additional volunteers to help make it a success. The festival is scheduled for August 3-4, from 10 am to 6 pm, and your troop's assistance would be greatly appreciated.
The event is just around the corner, and we're in need of additional scouts and adults. It's a fantastic way to promote Scouting and the Mission Peak Units. Could you and/or your troop help out with a 2-hour shift? Feel free to bring flyers for your troop; let me know if you need any printed. Please note that scouts must be accompanied by troop parents/leaders. We require at least two adults per shift, and ideally, there should be four scouts.
Friday Set-Up: Assistance is needed the day before the festival to prepare our booth. Weekend Attendance: We need scouts and adults to help run the booth on both days of the festival.
Important for Adult Volunteers:
To meet the festival organizers' requirements, please send your Driver’s License and Date of Birth to me at .
Thank you so much for considering this request. Your support would be incredibly valuable, not just to our booth but to the entire community attending the festival. I look forward to hopefully seeing you there!

Fall Camporee Leaders have been chosen!
After interviewing 11 candidates to serve as 2024 Fall Camporee Camp Directors, Mr Jason Lian (T379) and Mr. Aarush Thummati (T153) were selected. We have met with them subsequently and discussed what needs to be done and decided by them as the Youth Leaders. They will be selected other youth leaders and staff.
If you have scouts who are interested, please make sure that they complete the interest form. We already have a list of about 35 interested scouts. In addition to youth staff, we also need adult staff. Please let us know if you are interested in being on the adult staff.

Virtual Engineering Badge available this Fall through Harley Davidson!
My name is Meg and I am the Scout Coordinator at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI. I am reaching out to you to let you know that you can bring our engineering merit badge program directly to your scouts with our virtual online Engineering Merit Badge! Our program is geared towards scouts who are unable to visit the museum in person to earn their merit badge. All 9 requirements will be covered with a BSA approved merit badge counselor who has current YPT certification.
- For individual scouts who would like to participate we offer sessions nearly every Tuesday evening at 6:30pm CST or Saturday morning at 8:30am CST.
- For groups of 6 or more scouts private troop sessions are available on most days (pending availability).
There are 4 activities to complete prior to the virtual session. These activities are things that cannot be done in a virtual setting. They should not take more than 1 or 2 hours. Instructions for these activities will be sent out after registration has been received. The cost is $20 per scout.
