10/26 - Join Us for the Pumpkin Patch Event at Ardenwood Farm!

We are excited to announce that the Mission Peak District, in collaboration with Dig Deep Farms, will be hosting a Pumpkin Patch event at Ardenwood Farm on October 26th, from 1 PM to 4 PM. This event is open to all Cub Scouts, Scouts, and their families, so mark your calendars for an afternoon of fun and adventure!

This will be a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy the fall season with a variety of activities, including:

Main Activities at the Pumpkin Patch:
- Hay Pyramid: Climb to new heights and explore the fun-filled haystack!
- Photo Ops: Capture memorable moments with family and friends.
- Crafts Booth: Get creative with hands-on activities.
- Bookmark Making: Design your own personalized bookmarks to take home.
- Pinwheel Making: Build colorful pinwheels and watch them spin in the wind.
- Pumpkin Decorating (with paper cutouts): Let your imagination soar as you decorate pumpkins with unique designs.
This event promises to be a fantastic day for all families to come together and enjoy the outdoors. We look forward to seeing you there, so don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity!

A huge shout-out to Troop 132 & 203 for their Camp Wente volunteer work!
|
|
|
This past weekend, Fremont Troop 132 and Oakland Troop 203 went up to Camp Wente and helped get our precious summer camp looked up and ready for winter. They spent the weekend carefully folding up all the tarp tents, arranging the proper equipment and storing everything for the upcoming colder months.
|
Thanks to Troops and volunteers like this, we can continue to offer great activities and campsites for our future scouters. When you get a chance, check out their pictures from this hard-working group.

Talk to your scouts about the importance of voting!
|
|
|
Dear Scout Parents and Leaders:
|
Please take a moment to sit down with your scouts and talk to them about the current election and voting events happening in the United States, California and their own town. Show them your ballots and talk about the candidates to them. Show them how to find unbiased information such as League of Women Voters and just simple Googling. After discussing the different candidates, vote in front of them and tell them why you have chosen to vote for your candidate in each category. Go over the proposed Measure and Propositions and discuss both sides of each one.

As our young generation is coming to the age of voting, they need to understand the importance of their votes, especially in the city elections. In the past, candidates have won by as little as 6 votes in the Tri-City area! Also, please make them aware of good solid campaigns based on morals and honesty versus political candidates who slander and talk negatively of others. This does not represent our scout way.
