2/26 - City of Newark Mock City Council Meeting

2/26 - City of Newark Mock City Council Meeting
Join us for a unique opportunity to participate in a Mock City Council Meeting, hosted by Mayor Mike Hannon, Vice Mayor (and Scout Leader) Eve Marie Little, and other city officials! This event is designed to help give Scouts a firsthand experience in how local government functions as well as the role citizens play in our community.

Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 7:00pm at Newark City Hall

Scouts will observe and engage in a simulated council meeting, learning how decisions are made at the city level. This is a great way to see civic engagement in action and gain a deeper understanding of how their community operates. Make sure to come out in your Uniform A and ready to learn so much about local government.

To register for this event, please click on the following link. Be aware that there is limited space with only 45 seats left so RSVP as soon as possible!
