Great Eagle Scout Project at the Ohlone Humane Society!
Ohlone Humane Society is now one step closer to being available to more people thanks to Sohan, BSA Troop 449, & volunteers.
His Eagle Scout project was to revamp a garden pathway from the pergola and further extend it to the nearby road. This activity took several days and several dozen helpers. As stated by the Eagle Scout Sohan, “The idea for the path was to redo the old path that was already there and to continue the path towards the road. We started by clearing all the weeds in the old path and by clearing out an area for the extension. We then removed all the old edging and laid all the new edging as well as put in the weed fabric. Next we put in the gravel as a base layer and lastly put in the dg (decomposed granite) as the final layer on top. Throughout the process we leveled and compacted the path to make it more stable and smooth.”
