Why Friends of Scouting? Isn’t the Council annual fee enough? Unfortunately, the answer is no. Annual fees are insufficient to sustain the programs, offer financial assistance to disadvantaged youth, keep camps open, cover the insurance and yes, pay the employees. The real cost of the program is around $300 per youth, much higher than Council annual fee. The Mission Peak District Goal is to raise $56,000 in Friends of Scouting donations.
How can you help? Any donation makes a difference on our ability to serve the youth in our community. If every family contributes, no amount is too small. All recurring donations in 2024 will be matched by the council board. If you can, consider making your donation a recurring gift to doble the impact.

Make sure to note if you are on a Pack or Troop and the unit number. We want to give you credit for your donation. You can help them contributing to their Unit FOS goal.
Please let us know if your employer matches charitable donations, also if you are waiting for a confirmation letter from the council.
