How do you find and recruit middle school youth who have had no previous exposure to Scouting? What additional challenges do units face engaging parents new to Scouting? The other day, an announcement about the upcoming troop showcase came out and it was disclosed that there are less than 100 Arrow of Light Scouts in the district. The conclusion is that for troops to thrive, we must recruit youth who were not in Cub Scouts.
That will be the subject of the September Roundtable, and I am hoping that you will join us, and be prepared to share. How does your troop recruit? How do you guide new parents on their journey to volunteer? What has or hasn’t worked for you? What problems do you face? Let’s have a discussion, share, and learn from each other. This meeting will be both Live and on Zoom
